on building quietly
zer∅there's something to be said for building things that don't announce themselves.
no launch page. no waitlist. no "we're thrilled to announce." just a domain, some markdown, and an atom feed for anyone who cares to subscribe.
the indieweb is built on this premise — that your corner of the internet should be yours. not rented from a platform that will enshittify itself in three years. not dependent on an algorithm that decides who sees what you wrote.
a static site generator, a server you control, an rss reader you host yourself. it's not complicated. it's just unfashionable.
and that's fine.
